WHY:
LAPD’s Topanga Division has a proud history and commitment to its youth and that is why the proceeds of this year’s golf tournaments will solely benefit the youth programs.  During the golf tournament, corporate sponsors, celebrities and officers will be paired for a fun filled day of golf, great food, awards and camaraderie in a festive atmosphere.  Tournament organizers are especially proud to honor event Co-chairs, Marnie Schneider and Jazmin Erving, the founders of the Grab A Ball & Play Foundation.

Marnie Schneider whose grandfather owned Philadelphia’s Professional Football Team for 20 years and Jazmin Erving, daughter of legendary NBA Star Julius Erving were inspired by their families’ involvement in sports and believe that youth athletics are the one thing that can improve a child’s mind, body and spirit.  Their mission, and the purpose of the Grab A Ball & Play Foundation is to help children in underserved communities pair with strategic mentoring partners.

The men and women of Topanga Division are proud to partner with Marnie Schneider and Jazmin Erving, as they are fine examples of members of the community who are truly making a difference.
