15 Seconds of Fame, in collaboration with All-In Challenge and Fanatics, has generously allowed the LAPD baseball team to uphold a 137-year-old baseball rivalry with the LASD baseball team. This game, marked by a history of intense competition and numerous victories, promises to be a thrilling spectacle, drawing a crowd of over 600 spectators.
Both teams will play to honor fallen L.A. Sheriff’s Deputy Alfredo “Freddy” Flores, who died from injuries sustained in a shooting range accident in October of last year. Deputy Flores played with the LASD baseball team for several years. Each team’s players will wear caps representing Deputy Flores’ jersey and ID numbers. LAPD Chief of Police Dominic Choi and LASD Sheriff Robert Luna will toss the first pitches to begin the game.
