WHERE: Union Rescue Mission 545 South San Pedro Street Los Angeles, CA 90013 Inside the main chapel
WHO: LAPD Officer Deon Joseph
WHY: The goal of the program is for one officer from Central Station, to buy a wrapped toy for one child at the Union Rescue mission, to personalize the giving. Some officers bought gifts for more than one child.
The goal is also to create awareness for homeless families and the need for more emergency shelter and housing county wide, focused on helping families in crisis.
