Law Enforcement Monitors Sex Offenders on Halloween Night NR14407nv

San Fernando Valley:  In an effort to protect children from sexual predators during Halloween night, the Los Angeles Police Department, Operation Valley Bureau, Registration Enforcement and Compliance Team (REACT), along with the California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation will conduct the 21st Annual “Operation Boo” compliance checks.

On Friday, October 31st, 2014, LAPD officers from Operation Valley Bureau, Registration Enforcement and Compliance Team, Devonshire Division Probation Compliance Unit, North Hollywood Division Compliance Unit, Valley Crime Task Force and the California Department of Correction and Rehabilitation Parole agents will be conducting traditional compliance checks on known sex offenders to make sure they’re staying away from trick-or-treaters.

Sex offenders will be monitored closely to ensure they are following their special orders and don’t attempt to attract children to their homes.
