The Los Angeles Police Department is mourning the duty-related death of Police Officer II Esmeralda Ramirez. She passed away over the weekend after a surgery related to an on-duty traffic collision that occurred in 2015. She joined the Department in 2008 and was a valued member of Pacific Divsion where she worked in a variety of assignments. Her commitment to her follow officers and this Department is only eclipsed by the love she had for her family. She is survived by her three adult children.
