WHY:
Community Safety Partnership Bureau – Ramona Gardens CSP working in conjunction with Metropolitan Division Mounted Unit is excited to announce the graduation of 10 youth equestrians, from the Ramona Gardens CSP site. These young participants have completed 26 hours of mounted training. The Mini Mounties program provides effective mentorship that encourages, inspires and empowers city youth to develop critical life skills that support successful outcomes in life.
The program introduces students to western equitation skills under careful guidance of mounted officer mentors. Classes were hosted on five consecutive Saturdays, culminating in a graduation ceremony where the students will receive certificates for their success. Family members along with Department Personnel and Los Angeles City partners are expected to attend this event.
