Man Arrested Hung Himself in His Jail Cell NR11573rh

Los Angeles:  On December 2, 2011, Kristopher Bindulski was arrested in Northeast Area for California Penal Code Section 211 (Robbery) and was booked at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC).  

On December 5, 2011, at 7:40 p.m., Bindulski hung himself in his cell.  Jail personnel removed Bindulski from his cell and administered cardio pulmonary resuscitation.

Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported Bindulski to a local hospital.  According to the medical staff at the hospital, Bindulski had no brain activity and was placed on a life support system.  

On December 7, 2011, at 8 p.m., Bindulski was pronounced dead.

Force Investigation Division responded to the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) and is conducting the investigation of the In-Custody Death.
