Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Central Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for killing 64-year-old Jose Mancia.
On July 4, 2022, around 9:30 p.m., Hollenbeck Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of a “Hot Prowl Burglary Suspect” in the 2000 block of Griffin Avenue, in the Lincoln Heights community of Los Angeles. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim unresponsive and in medical distress.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene.
Members of Mr. Mancia’s family were found hiding within the residence. Based on the information they provided, it was determined that the suspect entered their residence and fought with Mr. Mancia, which ultimately led to his death.
There is no suspect description.
