Los Angeles: On January 15, 2004, at about 2:00 p.m., the victim, 28 year-old Anibal Tapia, was discovered shot to death inside of his residence in the 700 block of West 99th Street. A family member arrived home and discovered the victim inside his bedroom, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The family member telephoned police and paramedics. The responding paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The subsequent investigation revealed the victim was shot at least one time in the upper body.
The motive is unknown. No suspect was seen.
