Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Foothill Area detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of a Pacoima resident.
On Tuesday, November 1, 2011, at around 10:50 p.m., officers working Foothill Patrol responded to a radio call of an ‘Assault with Deadly Weapon’ (ADW) with shots fired in the area of Remick Avenue and Louvre Street. Officers and paramedics located a male Hispanic victim down with multiple gunshot wounds on the sidewalk.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died of his injuries. Detectives identified the victim as 27-year-old, Luis Enrique Silva of Pacoima. Silva was shot by an unknown person(s) as he was returning to his home from a local store.
The motive for the shooting is unknown. The suspect(s) is unknown and the weapon is outstanding. There is no evidence of gang involvement at this time.
