Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) who killed a 49-year-old Hollywood resident.
On Monday, July 9, 2012, at around 4:30 p.m., Hollywood Area officers responded to a call at an apartment building at the 5700 block of West Santa Monica Boulevard. When the officers arrived, they found the victim in his apartment with a gunshot wound. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The victim was a 43-year-old Black male who lived at the location. The motive for this shooting is unknown, and there is no description of the suspect at this time. However, detectives believe that the suspect was heard running down the hallway.
