Updated information: The investigation has revealed that the suspect’s car is a possible 1992-1997 Ford F150, 250, or 350 truck, or a Bronco Sport Utility Vehicle or SUV. The color of the truck has not yet been identified. The truck will be missing the passenger side front head light and turn signal.
Los Angeles: Valley Traffic Division Detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing information regarding a hit and run traffic collision that occurred early Sunday morning near Whitsett Avenue and Cumpston Street in North Hollywood, critically injuring a man.
On January 15, 2012, at around 5:45 a.m., a 40-year-old man was walking north on Whitsett Avenue on the east shoulder of the roadway just north of Cumpston Street, when he was hit by a car. The driver failed to stop and assist the injured man, or leave his identifying information, making it a felony crime.
The collision caused massive injuries to the victim. He was transported by Los Angeles City Fire Department personnel to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
The suspect vehicle likely sustained front end damage that left debris behind that indicated the vehicle was possibly a late model Ford.
