Los Angeles: On May 1, 2003, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the victim, Candelario Ruiz Torres a male Hispanic, 30-years of age, was riding his bike in front of 106 West 2nd Street in San Pedro. At this time unknown suspects fired numerous rounds striking Torres in the upper torso.
Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics transported Torres to Harbor UCLA Medical Center where he died from his wounds.
Currently, no motive has been established.
