Man Shot and Killed in Market Parking Lot

Los Angeles: Two suspects wearing ski masks shot and killed a man in the parking lot as he exited a market in El Sereno.

On November 2, 2005, at about 10:15 PM, 26-year-old Miguel Martinez exited a market located in the 4900 block of Huntington Drive when he was approached by the suspects. The suspects fired numerous rounds, striking Martinez several times. They entered an awaiting SUV, black in color, and drove off westbound on Navarro Street.

Martinez was taken to USC Medical Center where he died a short time later due to multiple gunshot wounds to his chest.

The motive is unknown.
