Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Rampart Area Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) who shot and killed a male in LAPD’s Rampart area.
On Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at about 3:11 p.m., Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a call of a man down in the 400 block of North Coronado Street. Upon arrival, Fire Department personnel determined that the man down was in fact a victim of a shooting. The male appeared to have been struck by bullets multiple times.
The victim was rushed to a local hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. According to detectives, the victim is a Hispanic male in his 30’s but has not been identified. He is currently listed as John Doe.
There is no information about the suspect(s) at this time and Detectives have not determined what prompted the shooting.
