"Man Shot and Killed While Inside Liquor Store "
Los Angeles: 77th Street Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that led to the death of one male, and the wounding of another.
On February 28, 2003, at approximately 12:26 a.m., Los Angeles police officers assigned to 77th Area responded to an "Assault With A Deadly Weapon" radio call in the 6600 block of South Normandie Avenue.
The victims, 30 year-old Jerry Corneliou Brown and an unidentified 41 year-old female, were shot while inside the A&W Liquor Store, by unknown suspect(s) who were outside the location. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded to the location and pronounced Jerry Corneliou Brown dead at the scene. Paramedics transported the female to a local hospital were she was listed in stable condition.
The motive is unknown at this time. The suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding.
