Los Angeles: North Hollywood detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of 36-year-old, Alfredo Amparan.
On February 9, 2008, at about 6:00 p.m., police responded to a “shooting call” in the 7300 block of Hinds Avenue. When officers arrived they found Mr. Amparan with a gunshot wound to his neck.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the scene and immediately rendered medical treatment to Mr. Amparan. Mr. Amparan was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
According to detectives, Mr. Amparan was walking or standing near the southwest corner of Hinds Avenue and Valerio Street, when unknown suspect(s) fired approximately four shots at him before leaving the location.
Detectives have not yet determined the motive for this incident and the suspect(s) and weapon are still outstanding.
