Los Angeles: Two men are shot and one is left dead as police seek public’s help to bring suspect(s) to justice.
On October 25, 2014, around 12:30 a.m., 28-year-old Eddy Lewis was driving a friend to the 800 block of West 84th Street. Lewis stopped the vehicle to allow his friend, a 33-year-old male, to get out. As his friend exited, shots erupted from the sidewalk. Lewis’ friend was struck by the gunfire and managed to flee to a nearby residence to call 911. Lewis was mortally wounded by the gunfire as his vehicle slowly drove off, eventually stopping against a curb.
The surviving victim was not able to see anybody prior to the shooting, but it appears as though the suspect was standing near the sidewalk. Eddy Lewis was pronounced at the scene by responding paramedics.
