Van Nuys: Los Angeles Police Department Valley Bureau Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for killing a 37-year-old man.
On August 27, 2017, around 11:50 p.m., Van Nuys Area patrol officers responded to an “ADW Shots Fired” radio call in the 14900 block of Raymer Street. When they arrived, officers observed a vehicle in the parking lot with multiple bullet holes. A victim was inside the vehicle, in the driver’s seat, with multiple gunshot wounds.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded, and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigation revealed the victim drove to the parking lot to complete a drug transaction. As the victim waited in his vehicle, two suspects drove up and exited their vehicle. There was a quick interaction between the victim and the suspects, at which time the suspects shot the victim multiple times while he was still in the driver’s seat. The suspects fled in an unknown direction.
The suspects are male Hispanics and they fled in a dark vehicle.
