Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Hollywood detectives are asking for the public’s help for information regarding a fight that left one victim stabbed to death.
On February 17, 2016 around 11:15 p.m., Hollywood patrol officers responded to a radio call of a “stabbing” in the area of Hollywood Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue. When the officers arrived, they found the victim on the ground with stab wounds. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect and victim were fighting over money when he stabbed the victim. The suspect then discarded the knife inside of a local club and fled eastbound on Hollywood Boulevard. Hollywood patrol officers were able to take the suspect into custody on Hollywood Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue.
The victim was described as a Black male in his late twenties. His identity is not being released at this time pending notification by the coroner to his family.
