What:
Organizers from various work and human rights coalitions are staging various marches in Downtown Los Angeles on May 1st. The Los Angeles Police Department will facilitate these marches and assist with providing media with locations to stage and park.
When:

Location 1- Olympic Blvd and Broadway
Location 2- 3rd Street and Broadway
Location 3- Main Street and Arcadia Street
Note:
LAPD, Media Relations Section Officers and march organizers will be available at each location to speak on the event.
Why:
On May 1st, at 12 p.m., various labor and human rights organizations will meet and stage an assembly at the corner of Olympic Blvd and Broadway. This assembly is planned to last for approximately an hour, then participants will walk north on Broadway, culminating at the La Placitas Olvera Street, Main Street north of Arcadia Street, with a speakers on a stage. Parking for the media has been designated on the east curb of Main Street, north of Arcadia, south of the stage. Event organizers have designated a viewing area for the media, on the sidewalk just east of the stage. Parking space is limited so the media is urged to arrive early.
At 2:30 p.m., a second coalition of organizers will assembly at the corner of Olympic Blvd and Broadway. This assembly will gather for approximately an hour, then walk north on Broadway. This group will culminate in the intersection of Broadway and 3rd Street, and speakers will address the participants from a flat-bed truck. It is recommended that media park curbside on 3rd Street, west of the Broadway.
There will be street closures and bus lines will be re-routed in the affected area. Please be guided by the information on www.ladottransit.com for information.
