Metropolitan Fundraiser Event Honoring K9 Officer Steve Jenkins

WHY:             
Metropolitan Division will be hosting a Jenkins Family Fundraiser at the Elysian Park Police Academy in the picnic table area.  Lunch will be a taco plate for a donation of $10.00. There will also be shaved ice for $3.50 and t-shirts for $15.00. Metro is also holding opportunity drawings for a Ruger LCP .380 and Oakely sunglasses.   

K9 Officer Steve Jenkins was shot while conducting a K9 search in the early hours of Tuesday morning, April 5, 2011. He was shot twice, once in the chest and once through the jaw. Officer Jenkins currently has his jaw wired shut and is recovering from his other injuries.
