Los Angeles: The family of Fazlollah Elahi and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Area detectives are asking for the public’s help locating him.
On April 22, 2024, at around 3:00 p.m., on the 100 block of 63rd Avenue near Del Rey Lagoon, Mr. Elahi was accompanied by his wife, Lucy Elahi, who had parked their white 2003 Toyota Prius (California license plate “5AWP524”) at the location. While Mrs. Elahi took their dog for a walk around the lagoon, Mr. Elahi stayed behind in the vehicle. Although the car was turned off, the keys were left inside with Mr. Elahi. Upon her return approximately 40 minutes later, Mrs. Elahi discovered that her husband and the car were missing. This incident is particularly concerning as Mr. Elahi did not take his daily medication, which is required for his Alzheimer’s.
