On July 11, 2024, a person was found deceased on the cliffs below Point Fermin Park. On July 18, 2024 Mr. Walter Curtis Wolfe was identified by the Coroner’s Office and his family was notified.

Missing 95-Year-Old Male
Los Angeles: The family of Walter Curtis Wolfe and detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating him.
On July 8, 2024, Walter was last seen in the San Pedro area in the 300 block of North Malgren Avenue. Walter’s vehicle was located at Point Fermin Park in the 800 block of West Paseo Del Mar in San Pedro, where Walter frequents the park to walk.
Walter is described as a 95-year-old white male with gray/bald hair and hazel eyes. He stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds.
Walter will respond to the name of “Curt” and his family is unaware of the clothing he was wearing at the time of his disappearance.
The family wants the public to be aware that Walter may be confused or disorientated if contacted.
