Woodland Hills: Los Angeles detectives are investigating a 37-year-old man’s murder in Woodland Hills after neighbors reported hearing gunshots in the 4900 block of Medina Drive around 11:50 p.m. on September 13, 2016.
“After examining the crime scene, it appears the victim knew his assailants,” explained Capt. Paul Vernon, commanding officer of the Topanga Patrol Division. “We aren’t sure, yet, what’s behind this man’s shooting, but cases like this often stem from business or domestic disputes.”
The victim was home with his wife and young daughter when the shooting occurred outside the house, but on the property. The wife and daughter had remained in the house and were not targeted. The victim’s house number is 4929 Medina Drive.
“Tips from acquaintances of the victim often break cases like these,” Capt. Vernon added. “So we’re hoping some person in-the-know might come forward soon and point us in the right direction.”
