WHO: Captain III Shannon Paulson, Commanding Officer, Security Services Division Captain I Richard Musquiz, Civic Operations, Security Services Division Representatives from US Drug Enforcement Agency Representatives from US Marshals Service Representatives from Federal Protective Police Representatives from Los Angeles County Sheriff Department Representatives from California Highway Patrol. Representative from Los Angeles City General Services Representative from Mayor’s Crisis Response Team Representative from Los Angeles Fire Department
WHY: The Los Angeles Police Security Services Division, SECSD, will host a multi-agency MACTAC/Active Shooter Response Training Day at the Civic Center of Los Angeles.
The training will focus on Active Shooter response with an emphasis on command and control of an evolving incident.
Participating agencies will include the US Drug Enforcement Agency, US Marshals Service, Federal Protective Police, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s, and California Highway Patrol.
City Agencies and Departments will include the Department of General Services, Mayor’s Crisis Response Team, and Los Angeles Fire Department.
The Training Coordinator of SECSD, along with his staff will be responsible for coordinating the event. The Tactics Training Section, MACTAC Coordinator, of Training Division will coordinate instructional staff.
Street Closures: The perimeter for this event will be City Hall located at 200 North Spring Street to the west, City Hall East located at 200 North Main Street to the east, City Hall South located at 111 East 1st Street to the south, and Security Services Division Headquarters located at 201 North Los Angeles Street to the north.
Street closures will be Los Angeles Street from 1st Street to Temple Street, Main Street from 1st Street to Temple Street, and Judge John Aiso between 1st Street and Temple Street.
