Multiple Suspects Arrested in an Effort to Combat Retail Theft NR24054dc

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Burglary detectives announce the arrest of multiple shoplifting suspects during an operation to stop retail theft. Retail theft has plagued various businesses operating inside the FIGat7th Plaza located in Downtown Los Angeles. Retailers at this location are the constant targets of thefts which accumulate to the daily loss of thousands of dollars.

On February 7th, 2024, a blitz operation was conducted at the FIGat7th Plaza in the area of 7TH Street and Figueroa Street. A blitz operation is when law enforcement strategically saturates an area with personnel and resources to address a specific issue. A total of nine suspects including a juvenile, were arrested for shoplifting, grand theft and commercial burglary. A security alarm tag remover was recovered from one of the suspects (see picture below metal hook).

The suspects arrested in this incident were 43-year-old Jose Cano, Booking No. 6755178;19-year-old Emilia Micoi, Booking No. 6755197; 19-year-old, Ana Marie Gandac, Booking No. 6755210; 33-year-old Carlos Dominguez, Booking No. 6755060; 39-year old Luis Amaya, Booking No. 6755078; 34-year old Richard Green, Booking No. 6755134; 28-year old Justin Carter, Booking No. 6755150; 47-year old Jesse Lamb, Booking No. 6755206. Under the Los Angeles County Felony / Misdemeanor Bail Schedule, several of the suspects were eligible for Book / Cite and release, others had pending warrants.
