Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved in a group fight that led to a multiple victim shooting with one dead.
On August 20, 2022, around 2:11 p.m., Hollywood Division officers responded to the 6500 block of Sunset Boulevard for a radio call of a reported shooting. The officers located a male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition. Witnesses reported that suspects had fled on foot after a large group fight and a struggle over a hand bag.
After seeing citizens flee southbound on Seeward Street, officers located a second male victim suffering from a gunshot wound at the 6500 block of Delongpre Avenue. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and determined the second victim dead at scene.
The second victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
There is no suspect description at this time.
