Pacoima: Homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau are asking for the public’s help in providing information that would lead to the arrest of the suspect responsible for the murder of a 36-year-old man from Sylmar.
On January 16, 2018, around 1:50 a.m., Foothill Area uniformed patrol officers received a radio call of an “Ambulance Shooting” in the 12300 block of Pierce Street. Upon arrival, officers observed a victim laying on the ground, next to a vehicle, in the driveway of a residence. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he died.
Preliminary investigation revealed the victim was next to his vehicle and in the process of leaving the location. A vehicle drove by, and an unknown suspect shot the victim multiple times before fleeing the location. There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description.
The victim’s name has not been released pending notification to next of kin.
