Murder Suspect Sought NR22300ml

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Bureau Homicide Division detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for murder.

On January 1, 2022, officers assigned to LAPD Newton Division responded to a call for service of an “Ambulance Shooting Just Occurred” at Washington Boulevard and Long Beach Avenue.

When the officer’s arrived  they located a victim, later identified as Marcus Marshall lying on the sidewalk in front of 1600 block of  East Washington Boulevard suffering from a gunshot wound.

Los Angeles City Paramedics responded and rendered aid to Marshall and transported him to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

The detective’s investigation revealed the suspect and the victim had initially been involved in an altercation in the area of Naomi Avenue and 17th Street.

Detectives obtained video surveillance footage of the initial confrontation capturing the suspect’s image.

The suspect is described as a male black, in his mid-50’s, thin build, standing at 6 feet to 6 feet inches tall, and last seen wearing dark clothing.
