Los Angeles – On Monday, May 15, 2000, at 1:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department will commemorate National Police Week commencing with a memorial ceremony. The LAPD will pay tribute to the 193 fallen officers since 1907. This year, in addition to honoring the fallen officers of the distant and recent past, the LAPD will remember Officer Jack Hayden and Officer Louis Villalobos who died while protecting the lives of others. The names of Officer Jack Hayden and Officer Louis Villalobos will join the 193 others who are inscribed on the granite memorial in front of Parker Center. The Memorial Ceremony will take place at:
