releasing surveillance video of the incident, as well as a photo
of the suspect and the vehicle he drove.
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department's South Traffic Division detectives are asking
for the public's help in providing any information that would
lead to the identification and arrest of the driver involved in a
hit and run traffic collision which killed a 66-year-old woman.
On February 2, 2021, around 5:50 p.m., South Traffic officers responded to a hit and run traffic collision that occurred at Main Street and 97th Street. A vehicle traveling southbound on Main Street struck a woman walking westbound outside of the crosswalk south of 97th Street. The suspect continued southbound on Main Street and made a left turn eastbound on 98th Street. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render aid or identify themselves as required by California law. The investigation is still ongoing.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a white pick up truck with white wooden side paneling.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members who provide information leading to the offender's identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
