Opens https://lacity.gov/directory in a new window.June 16, 2021, at around 6:30 p.m., an off-duty officer assigned to Central Traffic Division was inside his residence, seated at the kitchen table. According to the officer, he was cleaning his gun when he had an unintentional discharge. The projectile went through the kitchen wall and impacted the fence along the west side of his property.
No one was injured as a result of the discharge.
The Glendora Police Department responded and completed an Incident Report.
Force Investigation Division (FID) responded and is investigating the incident.
