Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD)

On July 19, 2024, at around 4:20 p.m., an off-duty Police Officer assigned to Southwest Division was inside his residence, outside of the City, conducting a function check on his personally owned firearm when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge occurred. The bullet struck a nearby wall and became embedded.

No officers or community members were injured as a result of this incident.

Force Investigation Division (FID) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.
