Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD)

On August 1, 2024, around 4:55 p.m., an off-duty Police Officer assigned to Topanga Division
was in his residence attempting to clean a firearm, when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge occurred.

No officers or community members were injured as a result of this incident. Force Investigation Division (FID) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.
