Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD)

On September 6, 2024, at around 9:15 a.m., an on-duty Sergeant assigned to Southeast Division was handling another officer’s duty pistol, when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge occurred. One round was discharged into the floor and embedded into the tile.

No officers or community members were injured as a result of this incident.

Force Investigation Division (FID) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.
