Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD)

Los Angeles:  On November 29, 2024, at around 4:15 p.m., an off-duty police officer assigned to Olympic Division, was at his residence, attempting to clean a firearm, when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge occurred. The fired bullet struck a nearby wall where it became embedded.

No officers or community members were injured as a result of this incident.

Force Investigation Division (FID) detectives responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.
