Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) NRF058-23bb

Los Angeles:  On October 9, 2023, at around 10:20 a.m., an on-duty police officer was in the North Hollywood Community Police Station, subterranean parking garage. While conducting a pre-shift inspection of a Department shotgun, the officer experienced a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD). One round was discharged into the ceiling of the structure.

No one was injured as a result of this incident.

Force Investigation Division (FID) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.
