Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge (NTUD) Wilshire Division NRF025-24ne

On May 10, 2024, at around 1:40 p.m., a Wilshire Division officer was downloading a Department shotgun after he completed a call for service, when a Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge occurred. The muzzle of the shotgun was pointed in an upward direction and was discharged into the air.

No officers or community members were injured as a result of this Non-Tactical Unintentional Discharge.

Force Investigation Division (FID) investigators responded to the scene and are investigating this incident.
