Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Area Homicide Detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 19 year-old man.
On June 2, 2003, at 12:25 a.m., Dionte Cheatham was walking on the sidewalk in the 600 block of Brooks Avenue, in the Venice area of Los Angeles. Unknown occupants inside a passing vehicle fired multiple shots at him. Cheatham, hit by several bullets, was taken to a local hospital where he died from his wounds.
There are no suspects in custody and no weapon was recovered.
