Opens https://lacity.gov/directory in a new window.Pacoima: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Bureau Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting death of a man. On January 12, 2020 at 10:05 p.m., Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Station responded to a man down call near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Vaughn Street in Pacoima.
Upon arrival, officers located a victim of a gunshot wound. The Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital where he died.
The victim was identified as Anthony Lopez II a male, Hispanic, 20-years-old of Mission Hills. The preliminary investigation revealed that Lopez was shot near the intersection of Bromont Street and Fielding Avenue, as he sat in his vehicle.
Lopez then drove his vehicle from that location to the area of Foothill Boulevard and Vaughn Street, where passersby called 9-1-1.
There have been no arrests in this case and the motive for the shooting is unknown.
