Los Angeles: A fight at a party in South Los Angeles resulted in three men being shot. Two died at the scene and one is in critical condition at a local hospital.
On Saturday, October 15, 2005, at about 10:40 p.m., officers from Southeast Division responded to a radio call of a “Shooting” in the 100 block of West 99th Street. There was a party in the rear yard of a home, and a large group of people were dispersing as officers arrived. A group of men were involved in a fight that resulted in several men leaving the party. A short time later two of the men returned, one armed with a handgun. The suspect shot three men at the party. One victim was identified as 24-year-old Vicente Zuniga, who died at the scene. A second victim, a 29-year-old male Hispanic, also died at the scene as a result of his injuries. A third person, a 21-year-old male Hispanic, was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.
The identities of two victims are being withheld pending notification to their families.
