Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle

On January 5, 2000 at approximately 6:30 AM a fatal traffic collision occurred on Broadway mid-block between Slauson Avenue and 59th Place in the City of Los Angeles. Mr. Carlos Chavarian was driving his 1994 Chevrolet pick-up truck northbound on Broadway when he struck an unidentified male Hispanic pedestrian that had staggered into Chavarian’s lane of traffic. As a result of this collision the unidentified male was thrown onto the hood of the pick-up. The unidentified male sustained extensive blunt force trauma to this his head and torso and died at the scene of the collision.
