Los Angeles: Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification of the suspect involved in a hit-and-run collision that killed a woman.
On Sunday, August 30, 2015, around 11:45 p.m., South Traffic Division officers responded to a hit-and-run traffic collision on Century Boulevard. A female pedestrian was walking south across Century Boulevard, outside of the crosswalk, just west of Hoover Street. A vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, eastbound on Century Boulevard, struck the woman and fled the scene.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where she later died.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as a dark colored Chevy or GMC sport utility vehicle.
