On February 7, 2025, around 1:30 a.m., a silver vehicle, possible SUV or crossover, was traveling south on Cahuenga Boulevard, at Burbank Boulevard, when it collided with a pedestrian. The driver made a right turn onto westbound Burbank Boulevard, failing to stop, identify themselves, and render aid as required by law.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves. Motorcyclists are also reminded to obey the rules of the road and ride at a safe speed.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
