"Police Dispatchers Hold Open House"

Los Angeles – April 10-14, 2000, is National Dispatchers Week. The Los Angeles Police Department, Communications Division, will be honoring its employees all week. Wednesday, April 12, 2000, will be an Open House for patrol officers citywide, and all facets of the media. This will present an excellent opportunity for television media to collect current video footage, as well as for all media to speak with the operators who work the emergency lines on a daily basis.

This event will take place in the Police Department’s Central Dispatch Center, located on the P4 level of City Hall, 200 N. Main Street. The center will be open from 7:00 a.m., to 7:00 p.m., refreshments will be provided.
