Los Angeles: The Los Angeles
Police Department’s Juvenile Division Detectives assigned to the
Los Angeles Regional Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task
Force are asking for the public’s help in locating additional
victims who may have been victims of Roberto Enrique
Monterroza.
On April 22, 2015, detectives from the Los Angeles Police
Department’s Juvenile Division, assigned to the (ICAC) Task Force,
arrested 31-year-old, Monterroza, for Possession of Child
Pornography.
Investigators initiated a search warrant of Monterroza’s home in
the City of Hawthorne, after a woman responded to an advertisement
by Monterroza for a room for rent in the Spanish newspaper “El
Cassificado.” She received inappropriate photographs and requests
for sexual relations with her and her child from Monterroza.
The woman then reported the incident
to LAPD Harbor Area investigators. The investigation by ICAC
revealed that Monterroza had also placed several advertisements in
the newspaper for bogus employment opportunities, rooms for rent
and a search for child care.
The investigation is continuing and it is unknown if Monterroza
made contact with any other women.
Monterroza was booked at the LAPD, Metropolitan Detention Center
and is being held on a $20,000 bail.
