Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s dedication and resolve to community policing is exemplified by the everyday commitment and participation of Los Angeles community residents. Through many implemented programs, community residents have direct access to the highest levels of their police department. The community gatherings known as "Town Hall Meetings" are examples of how the public is provided with direct lines of communication to those who are committed to protecting and serving. The Town Hall Meetings provide our residents with information that relates specifically to their own neighborhoods.
The Town Hall Meeting scheduled for October 3, 2002, will be attended by West Bureau Deputy Chief David Kalish. The evening meeting will focus on our children’s safety. Providing an open forum, LAPD officials, and other featured guests, will also discuss other issues that affect our community and its residents.
