"Public Assistance Sought to Locate a Missing 3-year old child"
Los Angeles – Today, October 26, 2000 at 2:00 p.m., Hollenbeck Detectives will hold a press conference to seek the public’s help in locating a missing 3 year-old child who’s safety is believed to be endangered. The press conference will be held in front of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Community Police Station located at 1936 East 1st Street in Los Angeles.
On October 21, 2000 at 8:40 A.M., three-year old James McDonald was abducted by his mother from a residence located in the 100 block of North Soto Street in Los Angeles. The Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) had placed James McDonald and his nine-month old sibling at the residence of a family member due to the mother’s inability to properly care for the children. The mother’s last reported address was Vista, California in San Diego County but is known to frequent Central, Hollenbeck and Newton Areas where narcotics and prostitution are prevalent.
Three-year-old James McDonald is described as being three feet tall, 45 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes, he has Hispanic and Black features. James was last seen wearing tan pajamas and no shoes. The suspect is 21-year old Lee Ann Enriquez, she is described as a female, Hispanic, 5’6", 125 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes, thin build and has a medium complexion.
There will be photographs of the victim and the suspect at the press conference.
