"Rampart Detectives Investigate Double Homicide"
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Area Homicide Detectives, are investigating the deaths of two male Asians, approximately 20 years of age.
On Friday, May 24, 2002 at approximately 4:45 p.m., Rampart Area Patrol Officers responded to a shots fired investigation at 1925 South Budlong Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers observed both victim’s down on the sidewalk suffering from gun shot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and pronounced the two young males dead.
Witnesses heard several gun shots and observed a female Asian with a ponytail seated in a parked vehicle and a male Asian standing next to the vehicle. The two possible suspects drove away from the location. One of the witnesses described the male Asian as having a shaved head.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. No weapon has been recovered and the suspects have not been apprehended. The identities of the victims are unknown.
